KCFS provides a range of benefits to patients diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and followed by the University Kentucky Cystic Fibrosis Center in Lexington, Kentucky. To be eligible for any of these benefits, patients must be compliant with doctor visits and treatment plans. We are committed to supporting our patients in managing their condition and improving their quality of life.
CO-PAY ASSISTANCE
We understand that medical expenses can be overwhelming. That's why we offer co-pay assistance for both doctor and hospital co-pays, as well as prescription co-pays. To ensure timely processing, we kindly ask that receipts are submitted on a monthly basis.

COLLEGE STIPEND
KCFS offers a college stipend to CF patients once per semester. To be eligible, the patient must be compliant and apply for the stipend at the end of the semester by submitting paperwork showing they received credit for the class. The application must be submitted before the end of the semester.
EMERGENCY FUND
At KCFS we understand that unexpected expenses can be a burden, especially when you're already struggling with your health concerns. That's why we offer monetary donations to patients in need, at the discretion of their social worker. To be eligible, patients must be compliant and provide receipts. We're here to help you get through tough times.

LUNG TRANSPLANT
KCFS is committed to supporting Cf patients who require a lung transplant by providing monetary assistance. We understand the financial burden that comes with a transplant and aim to alleviate some of that stress for our community. Please contact us for more information so we can help.
FOOD
We understand that having a child in the hospital can be a stressful time for families. That's why we provide three meal cards per day for one pediatric in-patient family member, each currently valued at $6. If your family is experiencing food insecurities, please let the clinic know. We have a couple of options available to help you.
